Christianity In ‘Sree Rama Rajyam’

Posted under Bollywood,Entertainment,Tollywood by Vincent on Friday 3 June 2011 at 10:09 am

The time has come for yet another devotional epic to hit the screens. This is ‘Sree Rama Rajyam’ and while the film has been shaping up smoothly, there are those who have few comments which have to do with religion. Well, it is the element of Christianity in the film.
Apparently, the role of Kousalya is being donned by Jayasudha while Seeta is being done by Nayantara. Both of them are Christians and this has raised eyebrows of few trouble mongers. However, this has been quashed with the simple fact is that acting is acting, it is an art and religion has nothing to do with it.
Already, the film has developed a positive talk due to the performances of Jayasudha and Nayan. One can recall that even the TV Mahabharat’s dialogue writer was a Muslim. So, when it comes to cine circuit, it is calibre, talent and art form but not religion, say the film folks.
