Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana, who is facing stiff resistance from Seemandhra leaders within the party against Telangana, is more stubborn on the statehood issue.

On Friday, Narayana accused Seemandhra leaders of exploiting all the natural resources of Telangana, even before the bifurcation is done. He said Telangana people were seeking the separate Telangana state with all its natural resources in tact, but not a looted Telangana.

He alleged that the natural resources of Telangana are being destroyed and looted by the government and some exploiters together and the people would no longer tolerate it. “What is the use of giving Telangana state after all its natural resources are exploited,” he asked and threatened to launch a movement if the government did not stop exploitation immediately.

He also asked the government to stop auctioning of the government lands in and around Hyderabad immediately.

Hyderabad:  Chandrababu Naidu’s drive into the Ranga Reddy district turned into a bumpy one, as locals threw stones at his convoy.
Naidu, who heads the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), wanted to tour this part of Andhra Pradesh to express his solidarity with farmers who are upset over a shortage of fertilizers.
However, pro-Telangana activists have repeatedly warned that any politician who opposed the campaign for the creation of a separate Telangana state will not be allowed into the region.
In December, the union government announced that a bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh was probable. However, after massive protests followed, politicians in Andhra, who had been arguing in favour of a new Telangana state, quickly backtracked. The union government has since appointed a committee to study the issue.

తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సమితి అధ్యక్షుడు కె చంద్రశేఖరరావు ఢిల్లీలో ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్ సింగ్ తో సమావేశమయ్యారు. ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ ఏర్పాటుకు సంబంధించి ప్రక్రియను వేగవంతం చేయాలని ప్రధానిని కోరారు. అఖిలపక్ష సమావేశం నాటి నుంచి కేసిఆర్ డిల్లీలోనే మకాం వేసి ఉన్నారు. అయితే రాష్ట్రంలో పరిస్థితులు చక్కబడిన తరువాత, రాజకీయ పార్టీల్లో నెలకొన్న వేడి తగ్గించడానికి ప్రభుత్వం ప్రధానంగా దృష్టి కేంద్రీకరించిందని ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్ కేసీఆర్ తో చెప్పినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. జనవరి 5 న హోంమంత్రి చిదంబరంతో అఖిలపక్ష సమావేశంలో తెలంగాణపై పూర్తిస్థాయి చర్చ జరగనే లేదని కేసీఆర్ తో పాటు వచ్చిన జయశంకర్ ప్రధానికి విన్నవించినట్లు తెలిసింది. తెలంగాణ అంశంపై కేంద్రం నియమించే కమిటీ కోసం రాష్ట్రంలోని రాజకీయ పక్షాలన్నీ ఆత్రుతగా ఎదురు చూస్తున్నాయని, అయితే కమిటీ నియామకానికి బదులుగా హోంమంత్రి చిదంబరమే తదుపరి సంప్రదింపుల ప్రక్రియను చేపట్టే విధంగా చూడాలని కేసీఅర్ ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్ ను కోరినట్లు సమాచారం. అయితే ప్రధానితో భేటి ముగిసిన తరువాత ప్రోఫెసర్ జయశంకర్ మాట్లాడుతూ, ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ ఏర్పాటు పట్ల కేంద్రం చిత్తశుద్దితో ఉందని, రాజ్యాంగపరంగా ప్రభుత్వానికి కొంత సమయం పడుతుందని, అంతవరకు తాము వేచి ఉండాలని నిర్ణయించామని చెప్పారు
