While she is taking the maximum advantage of the media focus, here is a thought provoking byte. Recently when the name of Botsa Satyanarayana came in the liquor mafia he went ahead and said to have a CBI enquiry on him for some allegation.

Now Tara has taken the name of Congress MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao. And he is also asking for a CBI enquiry to be ordered. For everyone CBI enquiry has become a common statement. There are two reasons for that. Firstly, for everything and anything CBI will not come.

Secondly since the Congressmen are in power CBI will evidently support them. Today, CBI is only useful to trouble members of the opposition party. It is this courage which is making the likes of Botsa, Rayapati or other accused to demand CBI enquiry.

The fundamental these politicians don’t realize is, people are not stupid to believe all this drama statements. They are aware of what is happening and the effect of this will be known in 2014 elections.

Yet again it belongs to the mid budget flicks and one among them is a total family treat.

First in the list is ‘Neeku Naaku Dash Dash’. This marks the comeback of director Teja and in his own style he has brought in 42 debutantes in this. It includes the lead pair Prince and Nanditha along with the music director Yeshwant Nag.

Secondly, there is ‘Devasthanam’ starring the duo of S P Balasubramaniam and K Vishwanath. This also marks the comeback of Amani on silver screen. The film is directed by Janardhan Maharshi and it is a total family flick.

Though announcement has been made about the arrival of ‘Friends Book’, no proper confirmation is received. This is directed by R P Patnaik. Let us hope the films do well at the box office.

The Bhatts’ new offering is the sequel to ‘Murder’. This one’s set in Goa during Christmas and New Year, when vacationers flock this hugely popular touristy destination. The bustling streets and beaches make it impossible for the authorities to keep tabs on everyone and everything. A serial killer is on the loose… An interesting concept, without doubt!

Before I begin analyzing ‘Murder 2′, let me clear a few misconceptions. The writer of this film may have drawn some inspiration from the Korean film ‘The Chaser’ [2008], but it’s not a blatant rip-off. Nor is it a remake or adaptation of the American action film ’12 Rounds’ [2009]. ‘Murder 2′ deals with the crimes related to the flesh trade and exposes the murkier side of the society.

Mohit Suri, who had directed the sequel to ‘Raaz’ ['Raaz The Mystery Continues'], is also entrusted the responsibility of taking the ‘Murder’ series forward. Compared to what Anurag Basu did in ‘Murder’, ‘Murder 2′ is a dark film. Mohit is an efficient, stylish storyteller and he leaps notches above the prequel in every aspect. There are some scenes that may appear disturbing, but that’s the strength of this movie. It’s not for the weak-hearted. In point of fact, Mohit and writer Shagufta Rafique take the story to a heightened violent level.

Director Mohit Suri and writer Shagufta Rafique come to the point at the very start, when a gruesome murder takes place. Thereafter, we are introduced to the varied characters in the plot and what makes it all the more interesting is that all characters are either grey or black. Also, the identity of the serial killer is never concealed, but the motive is, which one realizes much later. It comes as a jolt, honestly!

While the screenplay gives you no time to ponder since it unravels at a feverish pace, the assorted characters and their tracks keep you on tenterhooks throughout. The victim finds herself cornered, the ex-cop is looking for evidence, the serial killer finds himself being shielded by a powerful and influential person… the sequence of events that lead to the culmination are truly nail-biting.

New Delhi: DMK MP Kanimozhi, presently in Tihar Jail for her involvement in the 2G spectrum allocation scam, Thursday issued legal notices to a Chennai-based weekly magazine.

Kanomozhi counsel V.G. Pragasam said: "Our client states that ‘Junior Vikatan’ in its May 25 edition published an article with a photograph of her husband and her 11-year old son."

The DMK MP has alleged that the article is "imaginary, derogatory and mischievous".

"Besides, the publication of my son’s photo is highly defamatory, malicious and against all established ethics of journalism," says Kanimozhi in her notice.

The notice states that her son is a school-going child and the publication of article along with picture tends to identify him and embarrass him among his peers and teachers.

Kanimozhi’s lawyer said: "It is amply clear that this is a calculated attempt with ulterior motive to mentally torture, malign, intimidate and shame our client`s minor child. You have abused the freedom of press with total disgraced to any probity ethics."

The MP has asked the publication to "tender your open unconditional apology within three days by publishing an apology".

She has threatened to "institute criminal and civil proceedings against all of you besides initiating contempt of court proceedings as the matter is sub-judice".

Paris: Li Na is back in a Grand Slam final, reaching her second straight major championship match by defeating Maria Sharapova 6-4, 7-5 Thursday in the French Open semifinals. Defending champion Francesca Schiavone also made it back to the French Open final, beating Marion Bartoli of France 6-3, 6-3 Thursday in the semifinals.

The Australian Open runner-up, who became the first Chinese player to reach a Grand Slam final this year in Melbourne, was able to chase down nearly everything Sharapova had to offer on Court Philippe Chatrier.

The wind was a factor yet again at Roland Garros, and Sharapova’s serve suffered because of it. The seventh-seeded Russian had 10 double-faults in the match, including on match point.

"She has a huge and big serve, so I was like: ‘Please, double-fault. That way I can win the match,’" Li said. "I never believe myself I can be in final in French Open. I wish I can do even better on Saturday."

Li finished with 24 winners, twice as many as Sharapova, and saved eight of 11 break points.

In the final, Li will face either defending champion Francesca Schiavone or No. 11 Marion Bartoli. They were to play later Thursday in the other semifinal match.

Sharapova was attempting to become only the 10th woman to complete a career Grand Slam. She was broken early in the first set, and then in her final two service games. In the eighth game, shortly after breaking Li to get back on serve at 4-3, Sharapova had three double-faults.

The Russian broke Li to open the second set. But Sharapova’s seventh double-fault gave Li the eighth game, making it 4-4.

After reaching the semifinals at the French Open on Wednesday, Li said she was surprised she has gone this far at the only clay-court Grand Slam. She has never won a title on clay, but she reached the semifinals at French Open warm-up tournaments in Madrid and Rome. In the final, she could end up playing another non-clay loving opponent.

Bartoli had never before reached the quarterfinals at her home Grand Slam, and her best result in a major was reaching the final at Wimbledon in 2007.

But Schiavone, the first Italian woman to win a Grand Slam singles title, is more suited to the surface and could become the first player over 30 to reach a major final since Mary Pierce at the 2005 U.S. Open.

Defending champ Schiavone in French Open final

Defending champion Francesca Schiavone made it back to the French Open final, beating Marion Bartoli of France 6-3, 6-3 Thursday in the semifinals.

Schiavone, who last year became the first Italian woman to win a Grand Slam singles title, will face Australian Open runner-up Li Na in Saturday’s final.

Schiavone converted her second break point in the eighth game of the first set and then held to take the lead.

In the second, Bartoli led 2-0, but Schiavone broke back in the third game and then again in the seventh for a 4-3 advantage. She broke again in the final game, winning four straight points on Bartoli’s serve.

After winning, Schiavone rubbed her hand in the clay and kissed it.

The Prince of Kolkata slams BCCI for not doing enough to balance club versus country

The ongoing country versus club debate just about got a bit more intriguing. Former India captain and the man behind the massive turnaround in Indian cricket since the start of the new millennium, Sourav Ganguly feels the BCCI should know to draw a fine balance and there is no pint blaming the players

Kolkata: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly today differed from Arjuna Ranatunga’s take on IPL being a "monster" but at the same time stressed that "country always comes first."

"Always country comes first but at the same time you need to draw a fine balance. It’s for the Board maintain a balance between international assignments and IPL. Don’t forget IPL is a product of BCCI," the former captain told the reporters at a promotional event here today.

About the debate that the injury management of the players have left a lot to be desired, he said that the tournament needs big names like Tendulkar, Sehwag, Warne.

"It would not be so successful without the likes of Tendulkars, Shane Warnes among others. It’s very difficult to balance as the players are humans after all. So at some stage they need rest.

"But at the same time IPL is so big. It’s very difficult to balance as BCCI wants all the players to take part in IPL." About Ranatunga’s comments, he said, "I know he is harping this for a long time. But I don’t think IPL is a monster."

The Prince of Calcutta cited examples of Manoj Tiwary and Venugopal Rao who have been able to resurrect their fledgling careers courtesy IPL. "Don’t forget that it has made life for a lot of players.
Source: MSN

The name of Minister for information technology Ponnala Lakshmaiah has more or less been finalized for the post of the Pradesh Congress Committee president.

According to reports from New Delhi, the Congress high command has almost finalized Ponnala’s name after a series of discussions with chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and former chief minister K Rosaiah and others in the last 10 days.

The name is likely to be announced either late on Thursday or on Friday.

Ponnala, who belongs to Munnuru Kapu caste, was preferred to Kanna Lakshminarayana and Botsa Satyanarayana, who are also Kapus, because of his image. While Kanna and Botsa have their own rivals in their respective districts, Ponnala is relatively non-controversial. He is experienced as well as educated, besides being articulate.

Meanwhile, Nadendla Manohar has also been reportedly finalized for the post of Speaker, while Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka would become the deputy speaker. Nalgonda leader Uttam Kumar Reddy would take over as the government chief whip, a cabinet rank post.
Source: Greatandhra

There is no exaggeration when Mahesh Babu is called Prince. Given his charming looks and chocolate boy appeal, girls have no choice but to drool over him. But now, it appears that Mahesh has decided to elevate himself from a hot stud image to a hard hitting man.

Sources reveal that Mahesh was due to arrive with a moustache in the much hyped project which was to be directed by Mani Ratnam. Since that got cancelled, this didn’t happen. However, it is now heard that Mahesh tried few looks at home sporting the moustache and found them interesting.

Buzz is that he is appealed by the idea of growing the moustache so that he will get macho look from chocolate boy look. And now, Mahesh is likely to arrive with a moustache for his next project ‘The Businessman’ under the direction of Puri Jagannadh. This should be interesting.
Source: Greatandhra
