👮 Police

Police — three commissionerates

The twin cities are policed by three commissionerates. Hyderabad covers the Old City and centre, Cyberabad the west (Gachibowli, Madhapur, Kukatpally), Rachakonda the east (Uppal, LB Nagar, Malkajgiri). Your local police station sits under one of them — in any emergency, dial 100 or 112 first.

🏢 District administration

Collectors, revenue & MROs

Land, certificates, pensions and district-level grievances run through the Collectorates and your mandal's Tahsildar (MRO). The twin cities span three districts — Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri and Rangareddy.

District Collector, Rangareddy

📍 Rangareddy district (IDOC, Kongara Kalan)

🌐 rangareddy.telangana.gov.in ↗

Covers the south and west — Rajendranagar, Shamshabad, Serilingampally side. The Collectorate's current office contacts are listed in the district portal's Who's Who section (we link the official page rather than print a number we could not re-confirm there).

Your MRO / Tahsildar

📍 Your mandal

Land records, pattadar passbooks, certificates and revenue matters are handled by the Tahsildar (MRO) of YOUR mandal. There is no single city-wide MRO number: open your district's official site (above) and use its Who's Who / Directory — Medchal–Malkajgiri publishes a full district officers' contact list — or walk into any MeeSeva centre and they will route you.

Prajavani — public grievance hearings

📍 Telangana

The state's grievance programme: the Hyderabad Collectorate holds Prajavani sessions on Mondays, with grievances also taken in on WhatsApp, and the Prajavani portal lets you lodge and track a grievance online as it is routed to the Collector or department head.

🏛️ Municipal

GHMC & Secunderabad Cantonment

Roads, drains, streetlights, garbage and water-logging: inside GHMC limits it is the Corporation — inside the Secunderabad Cantonment it is the Cantonment Board. Knowing which side of that line your street is on saves you a wasted call.

GHMC — Municipal Helpline

GHMC works through 6 zones, 30 circles and 150 wards; the helpline routes your complaint to the right one.

Secunderabad Cantonment Board

Cantonment areas are NOT under GHMC — roads, water, sanitation and trade licences here are the Cantonment Board's. The first number is the Board's helpline; the second is the CEO's office (Court Compound, S.P. Road). Water tankers can be booked on the website / SCB app.
